View Full Version : Canadian Host Canadian Dollars
kworks 08-18-2002, 10:36 PM Looking for Canadian Host that bills in Canadian dollars.
Must be very reasonably priced and offer PHP and mySQL databases at a minimum for proof of concept project.
Future requirements would be for reselling program, private labelling or commission referral arrangements.
Looking only for personal referrals of hosts with top quality service/support.
Thank you :)
smidwap 08-18-2002, 11:32 PM This is another one of those borderline posts. You are really 'requesting' web hosting from web hosting companies, then post in the 'Web Hosting Requests' forum. Otherwise, if you are looking for suggestions from us, then you can post in this forum.
Anyhow, why are you looking for a Canadian host specifically? Is it because of the Canadian currency, because I know as long as you have a credit card you can buy web hosting almost anywhere in the world??
I'm in Canada but my servers are in the USA. Most hosts, myself included only take USA dollars, it's just cheaper to use USA payments. With the profit margin in hosting so small most hosts can't afford the extra costs involved with accepting Canadian payments
Mester 08-19-2002, 12:44 AM www.att.ca AT&T Canada will do custom plans.
kworks 08-19-2002, 06:53 AM I know how difficult it is to arrange Canadian dollar credit card processing and what the costs can be so I can appreciate that. Paying in US$ with the exchange rate means you will never have a fixed price for services.
The servers could be anywhere in the world - I know most end up being in the USA - but I would like to pay in Canadian dollars.
Thanks for the feedback so far.
sparrow 08-19-2002, 07:48 AM Here are a couple Canadian hosts

Don't know how good any of them are ,but there are lots listed.
Just do a search for Canadian webhosting..................
Only reason I jumped in is because I am from Canada.........but I host outside of Canada.
Good Luck
brookie 08-19-2002, 11:09 AM tera-byte.com have US$ price list but always billed me in Can$ on my credit card.
I am no longer with them, but they were OK when I was.
ChickenFart 08-19-2002, 11:30 AM I know that http://radiantwebhosting.com/ is canadian, but I don't know much about their service.

Check them out, they are canadian as well.. One of my sites are hosted there, and they have great service :D
Edit: their prices are in US dollars though but if you talk to them, you might be able to pay in canadian funds.

 Since this is not in the requests forum, I don't really think you can list your own hosting service.
To the OP:
Check out ca.tophosts.com and poke around a little, send a few emails etc.
sparrow 08-20-2002, 05:44 PM Well I wouldn't recommend them ...................but here is another for you................Why you ask? Judge for yourself
