Hey, all!

I've tried doing this for hours and I've searched far and wide through inno forums, webhostingtalk forums, whmcs forums, and google, with no luck.

I'm trying to fully brand my supersite for those who don't come to me through my hosting website. I don't want the powerfuldomains.supersite.myorderbox.com to show in the address bar. I want powerfuldomains.net and domains.powermonster.net to show depending on how they arrive there.

I have the partner site and the storefront set up and working great. They are fully branded, it's just those darned cname records. When my domains were registered with godaddy, it was easy, but now both powermonster.net and powerfuldomains.net are using my nameservers. powermonster.net is my main hosting site and I want domains.powermonster.net to point to powerfuldomains.supersite.myorderbox.com and I know about the trailing dot after my.orderbox.com(dot).

powerfuldomains.net is registered through the stargatereseller and I don't have direct access to the cname records, so I also changed the nameservers to my own so that I could change them. I want the tld to point to powerfuldomains.supersite.myorderbox.com. I followed some instructions for somone doing it with the directi supersite, but they didn't work for me.

I currently have both addresses redirect to go there, but then what shows up in the address bar is the partially branded address.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to make it clear what I've done and want I want to do.

Thanks for any help!

Scott

If you are on cPanel server, in WHM Edit DNS Zone it should look like:

domains 14400 IN CNAME powerfuldomains.supersite.myorderbox.com.

For that you also have to setup the fully branded URL in your ResellerClub account settings:

Settings->SuperSite & PartnerSite->URL

Hope it will help.

That's exactly what I have in whm, but it still doesn't hide the partially branded domain.

Do I also have to set up forwarding in cpanel?

1) Reminder: you set the cname in your hosting panel not your registrars control panel.

2) In your reseller panel did you set up the supersite URL?

Click on Settings>Supersite & Partner Site > URL

There should be a box to specify the "SuperSite Fully Branded URL:"

Hi Scitt,

If you still have problems give me a shout, and I'll take you through step by step.

Livechat on URL below, or email me.

Kind regards,

Thanks! Chris!

I'll do that when I get home. I sent you an email yesterday to support@netearthone.com, but I never got a response. It was the link from your website.

I usually get home from work around 3pm PDT I think were -7 from GMT right now, so if you're still on at that time, great. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until the weekend. I did follow your instructions I got from another thread, but it didn't seem to work. Again, the partner and the storefront work great with the A name, but it's just the CNAME that is the problem. And yes, I've already configured it on the Supersite pages.

Thanks again!

Scott

Have you checked what it want to be entered in SuperSite URL step 3 & step 4?

If you have, then also enter the corresponding values in the zone file of your domains on your server.

And also remove the redirection, it will work.

I can see that http://www.powerfuldomains.net is working fine as you want it. Now you can redirect http://powerfuldomains.net to http://www.powerfuldomains.net to get the same.

all fixed, thanks guys!

I don't know why all of a sudden www.powerfuldomains.net worked. May it just took longer to populate than the a records did. Once this worked, I could set up forwarding to fix the rest.

I appreciate all the help!

bantizeal do you want to point yourdomain.com to your supersite or something like domains.yourdomain.com to your supersite?

For any of those to work, you need to first setup your desired URL in Settings->SuperSite & PartnerSite->URL in your domain reseller account.
