View Full Version : WHM CS is Awesome
WHC - Travis 03-23-2008, 10:53 AM I have tried several billing scripts, I didn't know what was best until I tried out WHM CS. I have to say I recommend this script to anyone. It's very customizable and allows you full control of all your servers, domains, etc. The amount of payment gateways it supports is fantastic, the customer support is decent (better than most), but I guess if you are doing low volume Client Exec is still a good option.
:agree:
Best,
Travis
hosteur 03-23-2008, 11:01 AM I too, am a FAN of WHMCS...
H0stD3m0n 03-23-2008, 11:04 AM I know ah! We use WHMCS for our automatic billing software and it is a much welcome change from what we used before. We used WHMAP before and it had less features and more of a learning curve. Had some problems getting whmcs to activate the license on they're server correctly but after that we integrated our website design around it. We've found that since making changes in billing software our profit has increased and our clients are much happier with how easy it is to manage they're own account.
InlineFrame 03-23-2008, 04:18 PM I think personally also WHM CS is the best. I get great deals with them, and also the templates are easily customizable.
Chris Patti 03-23-2008, 04:24 PM Its good for billing but I think kayako is the best for everything else.
InlineFrame 03-23-2008, 04:43 PM Kayako is good for support/Help, that can be intergrated into WHM CS.

True but Kayako is also expensive... billing wise I am only talking about billing scripts thus far in this thread. Does your company use WHMCS and Kayako with relative success?
Spacerich 03-23-2008, 04:59 PM WHMCS is always great because of it's constant updates. Many thanks to Matt.
MikeDVB 03-23-2008, 05:14 PM The thing I have liked about WHMCS the most is the fact that anytime I have a problem, Matt is on top of it and has it fixed in a relatively short amount of time.
Although problems have been few and far between.

I guess that's good, but if Mike can't help who do I go to for help?
SC-Daniel 03-23-2008, 07:44 PM Who do you have your license through? I have mine through LicensePal and Jay is awesome when it comes to support... I've only needed it once, but he was great!
I haven't ever used support direct from WHMCS though.
As for the Kayako/WHMCS... We use WHMCS and it works great! I started to integrate Kayako with it to beef up our support system. But the more I played with it, the more I didn't care much for it :( Going to stick to the good 'ol faithful WHMCS support system.
Specks 03-23-2008, 10:06 PM How is it compared to WHMAutopilot?

MikeWalczak 03-23-2008, 10:24 PM I've been using WHMCS for well over a year with no complaints at all. Help is always there when I need it. Their ticket system works great, although we currently use Kayako for support tickets (also highly recommended).
WHMCS is da bomb!
Another thumbs up for WHMCS. My biggest praise is how flexible it is. I am currently using it for a (non-hosting related) application and it adapts handsomely to all customizations.

keywolf 03-24-2008, 05:57 AM Also another thumbs up to WHMCS, Handles all our packages, easy to adapt and manage.
MoebiusLoop 03-24-2008, 09:35 AM We switched to WHMCS from MB v5 almost a year ago and we have been extremely pleased with WHMCS ease of use and flexibility. I would recommend anyone looking for for a billing system to try WHMCS, you will not be disappointed.
PCS-Chris 03-24-2008, 10:52 AM We've also been using WHMCS for just over a year now. The main thing I like about WHMCS is that support is always prompt and Matt is always very helpful in any problems that we do encounter.
The price of an owned license is fantastic too considering all the features you get. Well worth the money IMO.
RandallKent 03-25-2008, 01:41 PM We are in the process of migrating from ModernBill v5 but are having issues getting CC info, voided invoices, and partially paid invoices to move over.
Cory, did you have any issues with those?

We had to do some tweaks after the switch to WHM CS, but it was nothing severe.
Quite happy with WHM CS :)
dnswatch 03-26-2008, 01:43 PM From a customers point of view, my hosting provider uses it and I swear by it simply because it is user friendly and is well presented / easy to navigate around. Nice clean interface so thumbs up from me, all it needs now is it's own "live help" component.
WHMCS is good, but for us it did not suit well because we also do a lot of non hosting related transactions and...well...we could in a way get those into WHMCS but not really the way we wanted. So we use Freshbooks as its not connected to ONE market and not it is saturated with so many features like WHMCS, it does exactly what we want, billing.

I had issues with these. I ended up paying Matt to migrate the cc info. Any invoice with a partial balance due was imported as "paid" so I had to manually go back through those invoices and correct them.
