CJ.com has plenty of cheap hosting companies paying $40 to $50 per account for new accounts referred to them. -Affiliate Programs Can Be A Good Way to Go-
If you want a #1 listing at Yahoo, you'll currently pay Overture $5.50 per click for traffic. You'll get targeted potential customers, for 5.5 bucks each, plus you'll pay the same amount for folks to find you searching to sale you advertising.
I've had success using Overture to promote other business sites, however hosting is so competitive that the cost per click is too high in my opinion. Yes, I know about using keywords that aren't as competitive as the words, web hosting, I also know your traffic levels will be so low that you won't have an acceptable level of growth. And any pay-per-click listing not in the top 3 search results in probably a waste of time and money.
Newspaper: I haven't tried it, please share your experience.
Radio: I know FindWhat relied heavily on Radio ads during it's start-up and credits them as a effective means of advertising. Of course they are simply seeking any traffic from any source. Any success to report with radio?
TV: Anyone game enough to have tried TV?
Sales Staff: If you use a sales staff to make cold calls on small business, please let us know how it goes.
Any Other Successful Ad Campaigns? Google Adwords, Email, Ezines or whatever?
Many Thanks
