I have a 40 gigger
16gb free

I have it divided into 10 partitions (yes, you heard right, 10 partitions -- keeps stuff separated -- less fragments)

C: 1.26gb free out of 4.41gb (Windows)
D: 885mb free out of 1gb (Virtual Memory)
E: 3.88gb free out of 4.31gb (Applications)
F: 1.69gb free out of 4.31gb (Games)
G: 1.11gb free out of 4.31gb (MP3 collection)
H: 1.72gb free out of 4.29gb (Development stuff - web design, etc)
I: 2.35gb free out of 4.27gb (Archives - zip files, programs, etc)
J: 1.12gb free out of 4.28gb (Fresh backup of Windows XP)
K: 1.46gb free out of 5gb (extractions of multi-zip archives)
L: 978mb free out of 1.04gb (temporary internet files -- less frag. being it out of C: )

This setup, keeps my system less fragmented -- better than it all being in one 40gb partition.

30GB hard drive.

20GB goes to Linux, 10GB to Windows. In Linux I'm using 13GB (mostly MP3's and over 3GB of digital camera pictures, if you're wondering), and in Windows I'm using 8.5GB (85% of it is installed software, the rest is website stuff).

I have a 27 gigabyte hard drive, partitioned C(12) D(12) and E(3). Total I have 832 MB free right now, but I have twleve ISOs that I have to burn to CDs, which will free up a lot of GBs.

Also, a question:

Those of you with multiple Windows partitions... How do you get it to stick Windows on one partition and the apps on the other? I know that you can specify install directories, but how do you change the default directory so every time you install something you don't have to change the directory? Would mapping drive X to c:\Program Files\ work?

Just wondering.
