WHMCS is probably the most popular billing system used by hosting providers. I've used ClientExec and I think it's a bit confusing to configure. What feature do you require that WHMCS does not include?

You may request custom billing script or buy industry standard scripts.

Yes, I believe that your best bet is to stick with WHMCS. By changing billing systems, you would be sacrificing many key features that can make life much easier for both parties.

Yes, just add a server. You can move clients to different servers.

WHCMS does not support multiple currencies. The only product that does is ModernBill 5, but I wouldn't recommend them now. Something is up over there.

We use WHMCS and are very happy with it... I am also working on getting Kayako ready to release in the next couple days to beef up the support system...

I used to use ClientExec until someone told me I HAD to try WHMCS, and I did... Was sold in a matter of minutes ;)

I've demoed Modernbill... I do not like it at all!

Have you checked into AWBS?

I use whmcs and have not found anything better and more dependable yet. I can even automate it to make my job easier.

I actually just got the WHMCS mobile admin addon... Now I can login to my admin panel from my windows mobile smart phone which allows me to approve orders, generate invoices, view and respond to tickets, etc...

Once I get my Kayako going too I will be set ;) What could be a better combo than one of the most powerful billing systems, whmcs, and one of the best helpdesk solutions?

I do this with my Windows Mobile 6 Pocket PC Phone, with my Opera Mobile Browser :P

The WHMCS Mobile admin addon is nice, but I didn't see a need to pay for something my phone can already do, although the mobile phone addon would make it a *tad* easier.

Have been doing my research recently as I'm in the process of setting things up, and had WHMCS on the top of my list to try out. So reading lots of praise for it sounds good to me, especially when I here I can easily process things from a decent smart phone :-)

Hi Guys,

I just want to weigh in here. Have you tried the new Parallels Busness Automation software from Parallels.com? It is awsome you can do just about anything with it. just to let you know I don't work for Parallels but I use there stuff. http://www.parallels.com/en/automation/

I have a VPS with someone who uses Parallels system... I absolutely hate the customer interface! It takes me twice as long to find what I am looking for than it does from say a WHMCS or ClientExec client area

Geez, the guy uses WHMCS already, and it doesn't have what he needs. So will the WHMCS police please stop recommending it.

As in multiple currencies, are you referring to having your products available in multiple currencies at at one time? or the option to switch between?

The WHMCS police are taking action because this is the best billing software. ClientExec may have one or two more features than WHMCS, but it's more difficult to navigate and configure - at least for me.

But if I had to pick the best two billing systems, they would be WHMCS and ClientExec.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But he doesn't want to use WHMCS, he wants an alternative software application to meet the needs that WHMCS fails to provide.
