View Full Version : FDCServers.NET Response Time?
HostInspect 08-18-2002, 04:41 AM We have purchased 3 servers with FDCServers.NET overall their response time at first was great, about 15 minute to 1 hour response to all of our queries.
Then after we finally got our 1st server online, asked for 2 more. It started to get kinda sloppy. I was told to have the servers on Friday night, still waiting for them :-/
E-mailed them many times on the status of it at least, and how is it going, no response yet.
They also said remote reboots will be available next month. That was another reason I went with them as this was free of charge, but now I am starting to change my mind about this.
Anyone else had the same experience about this?
Also any FDC customer who actually has a remote reboot switch?
seg fault 08-18-2002, 09:05 AM For me, pre-sales responses were good, setup times reasonable.
Support requests usually ignored, network was bad.
edb49 08-18-2002, 09:18 AM How new are they? Maybe just going through growing pains.
seg fault 08-18-2002, 09:20 AM Been around for at least 4 months.
They just have a poor network and poor service. Always have, always will.

That is the worst description ever..... I am not referring to fdc servers as I am not a client.. "Growing Pains" LOL :D I hate the saying growing pains.... it really means..... Didn't have the foresight... didn't have the cash..... growing pains must cease as a saying -------- it's not a valid reason for not having a reply to a support or other request.. in that case, it becomes incompetence :D
:) Just my thinking :D
HostInspect 08-18-2002, 10:38 AM I just e-mailed him if I can have my 3 servers refunded.
1 server I have, paid 498 bucks for it, now I want that refunded, even if it was only for 3 days of service. If not I am having it chargedback. This is just rediculous.
Poor server, serivce, and lots of packet loss. This is a joke!
And my other $498 is just because I ordered 2 other servers. And guess what, NO SERVICE YET!
I am just asking him for that to get refunded, if not I am just having it charged back.
Sorry FDC, I need a better service.
I found someone else (http://www.tranxactglobal.com)
Thank you.

Incognito 08-18-2002, 12:31 PM If you are looking for FDC and support has been a problem there, you might try using Saburovo....he has servers available there and has a reputation for good service.
Companies like Saburovo and eservers.biz seem to be creating a new and very interesting niche, where they partner with data centers and offer servers, but provide an additional level of support.
Tazzman 08-18-2002, 01:04 PM Network with FDC was problematic for a while, but seems to have improved now, or at least the performence for my server has, but it took a lot of contact with Petr to get this sorted out. They ran I don't know how many tests on my server and invested a lot of time and effort into finding the cause of the speed issues with my server.
Support response time has never been an issue, the longests I've ever had to wait for a non urgent issue to be responded to was about 24 hours. I've always been assisted within a more than reasonable time frame and have never been ignored. I've been with them for close to 6 months now, so I have experienced all the 'growing pains' first hand, but I've neven given up on them as Petr has always gone above and beyond to keep me happy and get issues resolved. IF the speed for my server is anything to go by, network issues are finally beeing taken serious and dealt with.
wakkow 08-18-2002, 02:16 PM I sent some pre-sales questions a couple days ago, and again on friday morning with no response yet.. Maybe they're starting to get behind overall.

I did suggest a while back to Petr he hire some extra staff to handle communication with (potential) customers, but he seems to like to handle all external communication himself. Maybe he doesn't want to realise his company has grown beyond this.
