I wonder why suddenly all of my FTP programs such as cute ftp and ws ftp stopped working under windows 2000 on my PC ? they work fine on Windows ME on the same pC.

It says " cannot connect' to any server it might be .

i searched for it on google and it said there might be some winsock problem, so i installed windows2000 again but still i cannot do FTP :(


what can be the problem guys ? help me out plz

Are you using some kind of software firewall that might be blocking the connection?

its fixed now.. i removed that pccillin antivirus software.......... eerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr can u believe i didn't have ftp for a week ?

hehe...If I was without it for a day I'd be in trouble. Thank heaven for RFC959!!

maybe ftp is down? :D
