Was wondering if there is a website where you can lookup trademarks/copyrights, etc. I am interested in creating my own hosting company, but I have suspicion that part of the name I want to use has been trademarked.

You can't really lookup a copyright. Anything that's published is automatically copyright. An activity like uploading a page to the internet is synonymous with publishing. So everything that you see on the internet is copyright (unless otherwise noted).
