pong! - thomasmarkey@msn.com - http://levelgeek.com/

I finished a design / coding for him and did not even send the file and he logged off MSN. After like a day trying to contact him I looked at his website and saw that the template was already up. So I send him another email warning him. Since like 5 days he did not go on msn or replied to my email.

How would you get the design off his website and such?
I have the .PSDs and he doesn't so how would I report it?

I recognize that e-mail... pretty sure he was brought up for scamming etc in the past. I'm trying to think of the hosting business he once ran until he messed something up...

If I remember correctly - he's also one of those people "into" D/DoS etc! Not a nice guy to deal with.

Yup I knew it... heres a previous topic about him:

[7:36:57 AM] SpookedOut :: Internet Solutions says: im comin to the us soon and know your address
[7:37:00 AM] SpookedOut :: Internet Solutions says: see u there

Not to really get involved, but that looks like a threat to me. If I were him, i would contact local police, + Local FBI (Due to the international issue). Its a joke for you to threaten him like that.

^^ and some of the things he's apparently said in the past are just ridiculous. (SpookedOut = Thomas)

I think so too. Perhaps even an additional forum for scammers and internet fraud, it would be a great for warning people.

How did he get the design is you didn't send it to him? You uploaded a demo online and he stole the images?

I knew that name sounded familiar. This guy filed a paypal complaint against us because he didn't know how to use a VPS. Threatened to post here, then posted on webhostingstuff.

Glad to know we aren't the only ones who got hit.

You could try getting his webhost involved. I am not a webhost but I'm sure a properly completed Copyright Infringement Notice would help getting their attention.

Good luck.

I would send a DMCA to his provider for starters. Tell them the story and ask them to have him produce the source files for the site. Generally speaking hosts are good about these things and will give him a nudge.

I would have expected a scammer to be at least clever enough to change the email address hes used for scamming in the past.

Why does he continue to believe he can operate the same way with new people? Truly delusional. Keep up the good work by letting us know when you run across these type of people.

If you designed that site it looks like its Hosted with GoDaddy, You should file a abuse report. I think they has a section for copy right stuff.
