Right now i run my own travel agency and help some webhosting companies with the .SE domains (sweden is .se).

Anyway, Ive been a internet user for a looooong time, and I see the difference in webhosting in USA and here in Sweden.

Most companies here, dont use Control Panels, why, i dont know, its pretty cheap and very good for the customers!

And, the prices on webshosting here is VERY different.

For example in my city here in Sweden, the biggest ISP has theese offers:

mini package, for 10 US dollar you get;
1 email account and 3 email aliases
free access to webmail
5 mb server space

thats what you get, doesnt say how much bandwith but its usualy 3gig/month or 5, but most ppl dont use that much with 5 mb space

for 30 us dollar you get
5 epost accounts
and 50 mb space

isnt it great?

and trust me you dont wanna know the prices on co location, its like 250 dollar for 10 gig a month.

What my point is, I want to copy the US offers here.
When i start i would have a few customers which i know private...
However right now im paying 600 dollar just myself for my travelagency online.

Could you guys help me out a bit what i need to think about?

thanks

There have been a lot of threads lately about getting started. I would recommend searching this forum.

It sounds like sweden's web hosting market is about where ours was just a couple of years ago, before over saturation and hardware costs dropped.

It wasn't too long ago that we were offering tiny packages for the same rates.

The big companies with the big names you will find can still offer that type of service and get newbie/wealthy customers.

We actually could do it too, if we spent more money on advertising, but I would feel like were were ripping our customers off.

Per month, not per year!

Computers are pretty cheap, going to search this forum now :)
