I'm new to buying domains. I want to be able to register .in/.co.in domains as they drop. I've read that other people have scripts or software that enable them to snap .in/.co.in domains within seconds of them dropping.
Where can I get a script or software that allows me to do the same?
Thanks!

Try
http://justdropped.com/ (registration required)
http://expired-domain.bemmu.com/ (regex to your liking)

Hi Amy
Those are sites that show you names of domains that have dropped and are available for registration.
What I'm looking for is software or a script of some kind that allows you to grab a Indian domain name (extensions: .in and .co.in) the second it becomes available.
to have better (or even any) chances to register just dropped domains you should be an accredited registrar (just in accredited, you don't need to be ICANN accredited), this way you have direct access to the registry.
you can quite easily calculate at which date the domain drops, with some experience you will find out the times.
then you just hammer the registry with registration requests around this time.
you can try to do this also through the API of a registrar but i'm sure they will not like you for doing to many requests...

Hi rony
I can find out the exact drop date/time. I just need the software/script to "catch" the name the second it "drops" (and beat others who are also trying to catch the domain- and yes, there are others).
I've found software that will work through a specific registrar's API to catch domains but it is "client-side". What I need is something that is "server-side" because it is faster.
I've learned all this while searching around and asking questions. I know the terms and have a general idea of what it all means but I can't do programming or write code.
I know there are people are can write the kind of script I need but I can't seem to find someone who can do it (I'm willing to pay of course).
I don't think it will work through the API, but one never knows. As you just know the average drop time, you have to send hundreds of requests around that time. There you will be more successful with the direct registry connection.
As the ones who have such a scrip must use it themself I don't think they will share it.
There are many freelancer websites around where you can post a project with your budget and then you should find a programmer writing that script for you.
If you don't want a fancy version it shouldn't be that expansive as you can do that script in around a day.

I've read that some people who use these type of scripts do work through the API. I'm having trouble finding someone who has experience with this type of script but I'll keep trying.
Just try the advertising forum on this site.

Yeah, I think I'll give that a try. Thanks!
