Well i sent an email to Sale@hostmania about 5 days ago and have not heard back from them! Any news on Them? Have they been filling requests? Anyone having any problems i should know about before getting into bed with them??

well my server might be up tomorrow and ill tell you if it was worth waiting 2 weeks to get it setup or not .. and you should wear a condom before going in bed with them never know what you might catch :)

have been waiting for about 2 weeks now - in the beginning Chavon answered my mails, but not anymore.
Im very close to issueing a chargeback and cut my losses...

i used chavvons own mail - replied to the ones he sent me.

This would be my first chargeback ever.....

Anyone knows a way to call him up?
Their phones has been unreachable for days now
(always a nice sign)

now i don't know if thats business days or what

it is going to be friday (Today), saturday, or monday.

if it isnt done by monday im going to be really pissed :(

do a whois on hostmania.net. there's a # listed there that i used to reach him. i got fed up wiating for emails and that # listed on the site is bull, so i just resorted to that.

If they want to give technical support in the same way we will be in trouble :( specially when a problem with data center happens they will stop responding.

Not to bash Chavvon as he seems to be a nice enough person, but they did charge me for a server I cancelled before receiving it (I cancelled as it took far longer than agreed to get it set up and ran out of patience and time).

I contacted him about this and he said he had not cleared the charge with their billing department and did not know how it happened. He agreed to credit the money back to my credit card, so it hope this issue is taken care of. I'd hate to have to resort to a chargeback if I haven't received the money by the end of the month, but I do so want my $367.5 back :rolleyes:

I must compliment Chavvon on beeing so open about this error and so willing to fix it. I'm sure plenty of companies would have just made up some BS story and given me the runabout (that is if they even choose to answer refund emails).

I just contacted him using his personnal email. He was also kind enough to give me his phone number, but I agreed not to give it to anybody else...

You would think with all of us waiting everyday should be a business day. I don't think it's a good sign that day 3 has come and gone with no servers and no update from them saying
"Saturday's the day".

well if I dont get my server by tuesday and they still cant update me/us on whats going on then im going to cancel

edit:

plus aoltw just has to **** up everything with there stupid ATDN.net so now i get 77+ms to hostmania cuz its going all around the US... used to be 35ms which is a major reason I bought the box.. if I wanted to play cs on a laggy server i would of bought a rackshack box <---not that this is really hostmania's fault though--

77ms is not lag.
77ms is far from laggy.

i believe
100ms+ is gettin to laggy

some reason I always play better with about 40 ping hehe

hehe 77ms is 2x the lag of 35ms ;) but i just noticed something weird the ip that fractiousws gave me to ping when he first got his server the other week is fine
15 X (X) 47.487 ms 48.936 ms 48.982 ms
so for some reason there website ip gets aolized so I hope I get a server thats not aolized .. this kinda sucks though i emailed some aol person because I got pissed that they started screwing everything up again ... (i used to get 25 ping to my friends att t1 box .. it was like the perfect traceroute like directly to it then it got aolized now it goes me -> IL -> VA -> NY -> VA -> MI -> OH and back when they first did it was horrible like 150ms its down to about 40ms now)
