I need to buy about 30-50 1u servers every few months. Can any of you provide me with a company name that can provide really inexpensive servers in bulk ? I'm looking to spend about $350-$600 per server.

I've heard that http://www.online-spectrum.com/ build good machines. And, you should be able to work out a good deal, with kind quantity.

We're also looking to buy inexpensive 1u servers. http://www.online-spectrum.com/ looks pretty decent. Do any of you know of other providers ?

If you're buying 500 units a year, you need to contact manufacturers. They'll be able to offer amazing pricing on that many units.

Spectrum look good, it was about $800 for a decent-ish server. What other options are out there?

Hehe, if you buy the parts, I have a couple of PC techs who can do the job at $70 dollars a server....

online-spectrum.com has good servers.. :) I have not seen any thing wrong with them.

It looks like they have great servers but there must be a place where we can find these servers for less $$$ .

I doubt you'll find a company that builds servers to get them that cheap... Closest thing you can do is build them yourselves or hire someone to build them, building from parts will shave a few hundred off easy..

I agree with what was said, I have built tons of systems for people and my personal use. For what people pay $2000-$3000 for, I build for less than $1000. However just have to know what your doing, its not difficult at all, just takes a couple times to get into the groove.
