Hello!

This is my very first post on here, so I'm a nervous newbie.

I hope that some of you with masses more experience could help me...

I want to build my own website and a few blogs and, while I have limited technical know-how, I am keen to learn.

It would be great if someone could point me to advice (websites, books etc.) for a beginner on starting up.

I have been doing loads of research, but it would be useful to find a comprehensive "Beginner's Guide" that goes through the steps and processes involved.

I already appreciate that website and blog building is a mega topic with so much to grasp, but surely there's somewhere a newbie can go to start on the road? I hope so!

Any initial pointers very much appreciated.

did you try blogspot first?.
