Stupid question time...
Is there a way to tell what RackShack.net server plan a site is using?
Site in question is 67-72chevytrucks.com and a member of theirs has asked me a few questions and I'd like to be accurate in my response if possible.

That looks like a 'no' :)
You could obviously find out the OS version just by connecting via telnet.
Additionally:
Apache/1.3.22 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.8.5 OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.2 PHP/4.0.6 mod_perl/1.26

POP3 67-72chevytrucks.com v2000.70rh server ready
Watch at that v2000.70rh ... and investigate.
He doesn't have SMTP open so what is his MX? Maybe that may help you ...
You can also hire his services for one month and get to know almost everything.

Why not just ask the server owner? Why go around, poking and probing, when you can just ask?

I'm not poking or probing. Really don't care.
As stated in my original post, a member of theirs has asked me a few questions because he knows I run a site and I in return asked a simple question here. I am not a member of that site.
It has to do with site hosting fees and costs vs. member donations. I was asked for info and input so I was doing some research and thought someone here may be able to help.

Agreed, I dont like it when people probe around when all they can do is ask. Im not saying its wrong, just saying its not the best way.

I didn't say you are the poking; I was referring to all the other suggestions about poking and probing.
