I'm a newbie who got hijack on a VDS :(
OK, i would appreciate if anyone can tell me how to shift a database(MySql) to my new server?
I cant access the webcp, its down :mad:
I use to access it for phpmyadmin but now.................:confused:
I have a Forum, Maillist among some other DB.
Any help is grateful ! :)
I do have access to webmin at this moment.

Well if you have access to phpMyAdmin it should be pretty easy..
Click on the DB you want to keep
In the right frame scroll down to "View dump (schema) of database"
Click the radio box that says "Structure and data"
Highlight all the tables in the scroll box to it's left.
Check "Complete Inserts" & "Extended Inserts"
Check "Save as file" then check your flavor of compression...
Click "GO" and a pop-up will appear so you can save the file...
I used to access phpmyadmin from webcp but its down, now only have access to webmin but I've never use webmin.:(
Can do it from webmin?

How about installing phpmyadmin on to your regular server and use it there?

and I need to access it thru my current host right? as the DBs are resided there.

No, install it on your old server, so you can use it to export the data.

If you have shell access you can use mysqldump
managed to get my Host online, they're a helpful lot.
Will post my situation again.
