Anyone using Zope for designing? Was curious about the difficulty of learning it and also how it stands up to PHP or ASP.

NO NO NO!!!
I wouldnt recommend it at all. If you are starting out, it saves you about 6mths of work. But once, you are in full flow, its a PAIN in the, you know where. There is no documentation for it. And I mean NO documentation. There website has a lof of information, but its simply useless. Doenst make sense. Plus, I had tons of problems, with the Oracle connector for it.

Bottom line : stay away from it.

They do have an online book about zope now. It's available on http://www.zope.org/Members/michel/ZB/
I haven't done anything useful with zope yet, but it seems to be very powerful and easy to use. Much simpler than egrail yet as powerful if not more powerful. The thing I don't like about it is the setup process. So far I couldn't get it to talk to Apache ...

If you want to remain in the Perl/PHP world, look at Egrail at http://www.egrail.org which is also free, written in both PHP and perl.
