What is catsup? I know what (tomato) ketchup is - except us Australians call it tomato sauce (unless you're in McDonalds - then it's ketchup)....

I hear them mention catsup/etc on tv and think to myself "what on earth is it" :D

I second the motion, the first one sounds like "cat soup".

Sometimes I write catsup.

Sometimes I don't even write about that red gooey stuff.

You guys are like Mr. Burns (ala Simpsons) who went to the store (for the first time himself) and was perplexed by this very same question...

Yeah, I remember that episode "Catsup?, Ketchup?, Catsup?, Ketchup?" :D - then the grocery store clerk had him committed to the mental asylum :stickout.

It was that episode that made me wonder what on earth catsup was, because before that I'd never heard of it :)

If you ask for either one in a French restaurant the chef will chase you out with a butcher knife. It has happened.
