I wasn't sure where to post this, so here goes in the general one.

I know how to write scripts/programs that send an email by using sendmail but how do I send an email with an attchment?

Could some one either give me a few tips on what information to send sendmail (file location) or the actuall file in binary format but I think that would only work for binary files text ones would be corrupt. But then how do I show the end of the email and start of the file.

If oyu don't know but when you get this sort of problem you look or ask in a certain place please let me know where or point me in the direction of some sort of guide/howto.

I have been reading and searching sendmail.org and not getting anywhere. I find sendmail documentation confusing.
