Robert vd Boorn 02-17-2008, 10:12 AM If you need a control panel on Windows: Plesk
marcoss 02-17-2008, 10:23 AM is plesk easy to use than other control panels?
cristibighea 02-17-2008, 10:27 AM Why don't you try out a demo of it to decide for yourself? http://www.parallels.com/en/products/plesk/demo/
boonchuan 02-17-2008, 10:49 AM My recommendation would be Hosting Controller, once you buy the license thats it, they will even install it for you for free. It supports My as well as Ms SQL.
Softsys Hosting 02-17-2008, 11:32 AM I would recommend HELM and DotNetPanel..
Vinayak_Sharma 02-17-2008, 12:16 PM If there are one or two sites that you need to host on that server get Helm Lite (5 domains) or DotNetPanel (10 domains) they are free and quite good, if you grow to host more domains you can easily upgrade to paid license.
There are other panels too, have a look at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/Hosting_control_panels
Woooo 02-17-2008, 12:27 PM I would recommend HELM and DotNetPanel..
I ve personally find them good, But helm is a bit slow.
HiVelocity 02-17-2008, 02:51 PM My recommendation would be Hosting Controller, once you buy the license thats it, they will even install it for you for free. It supports My as well as Ms SQL.
I agree , its a great product and the support is great as well.
I think swsoft is just going to buy up all the competition until there is nothing else but plesk before its all over with.
directhostinguk 02-18-2008, 07:43 PM Have to say DotNetPanel, Helm now being part of SWSoft and nobody seems to know what's going to happen to it, SWSoft pricing is a joke.
ovais 02-20-2008, 06:30 AM I would recommended DotNetPanel, recently i have migrated from slow and horrible plesk to DotNelPanel, and I am quiet satisfied with it.
rody00 02-25-2008, 09:53 AM So far we were using helm, but not after swsoft acquisition we are considering the dotnetpanel...
Is anybody else following this route? helm -> dotnetpanel ?
I'll post our results.

djorgensen 02-25-2008, 10:17 AM HELM I think is the best for Windows
BudWay 02-25-2008, 01:35 PM I was thinking of using Helm but Didn't noticed it's now a part of "Plesk".
I guess I will try HC it looks good and you can offload every services to diferent servers and that's really great.
djorgensen 02-25-2008, 03:06 PM I cant see Helm going anywhere myself. I think they will add support for some additonal stuff that plesk supports. but its still a good platform
magnuson56 02-25-2008, 11:03 PM I would recomend Ensim
It is a great control panel
PogiWeb 02-25-2008, 11:30 PM The most common control panel for windows is Plesk. Its a nice stable piece of software that I would highly recommend.
Shaw Networks 02-26-2008, 02:00 AM Have to say DotNetPanel, Helm now being part of SWSoft and nobody seems to know what's going to happen to it, SWSoft pricing is a joke.
I wasn't aware of either DotNetPanel or Helm being a part of Plesk. Could you post a link of where you found this information?
Vinayak_Sharma 02-26-2008, 02:17 AM Helm is now a part of Parallels http://www.parallels.com/en/helm/
DotNetPanel, I think is still an independent company.
Softsys Hosting 02-26-2008, 02:18 AM I wasn't aware of either DotNetPanel or Helm being a part of Plesk. Could you post a link of where you found this information?
DotNetPanel is not yet acquired by SWSoft. However, HELM has been acquired. The info is at the below URI:

Cheers,
1oneHost 02-27-2008, 03:46 PM Another option for Windows would be Hosting Controller, personally its newer version is quite robust and user-friendly when compared to DNP or Helm.
TheHostHouse 02-27-2008, 04:01 PM I vote for DotNetPanel. Very stable software and in my opinion the best looking. Scales well with multiple servers also.
I've tried out Helm4 and Plesk, but Helm4 is quite slow and I don't particuly like the interface. Plesk is pretty good, it's quite expensive though.
Adam Za7 02-29-2008, 08:24 AM I thought HELM was OK, not as slow as they are made out to be. I recommend DotNetPanel in most cases, has been reliable for me.
bmorejon 03-06-2008, 04:32 PM Im migrating from Helm 3 (good) to DNP (Excelent)
Helm4 and Plesk sucks in my opinion
Saksher 03-06-2008, 04:56 PM Hosting Controller, all the way...
Blessed.
