I'm looking for an solution since sadly i am no longer able to keep up and report on Crime.
I'm looking for something that like moreover offers but there's no way i am paying 6000$ and up, i need something that's free but can fill up the side of a web page not just a scrollong message or anything i mean like what PHP news does.

Here's an example of what i need.
See freqofnature.com it has a news bit of the side below the bit that says "radio monitoring news"anyway that's what i need, something like that.

You could always write one yourself. Morever, Newsisfree and other RSS / XML data feeds are out there for the taking, for personal use.

Looking at their site, at least there used to be a free solution for basic headlines...

Yeah just follow the non commercial link at the bottom and that'll get you to the free headlines

Yes. i mean what i don't want is a newsheadline stating the house prices have gone up.
I'm evaluating all current solutions.
