Hi, I was wondering which you think is better Accountlab plus or clientexec. I know that al+ is only $45 a year but is it any worse than client exec/whmcs?

Anyone use Account Lab +?

very bad user interfaces, looks like something designed in early 90s, no comment about functionality, but more then ugly in looks.

Agreed, admin and order page look ok but the clients user area looks awful.

I would recommend ClientExec over Account Lab Plus.

Clientexec would be a better option in my opinion.

Account Lab Plus looks awful and doesn't have the appropriate feature set of ClientExec.

look at it this way: clientexec has been around since 2001 and still missing basic features. everyone is around at the moment saying wait for 3.1 features are amazing but these are features people have been demanding for years. they are so basic you think how can they not be there already, things like allowing public to open tickets, event logs, 2 year billing cycles, overiding prices for specific clients.

how can they get this far without them and worrying how many more critical features will they just ignore in the future as requirements change. next it will be wait for clientexec version 4, probably somtime 2010. just my 2 cents

Another serious limitation is that PDF invoicing does not support multilingual characters.

CE 3.1 will be entering public beta soon, a private beta is already going on with a limited number of participants.

While we may have had to wait a bit for some of the advanced features, it is a very stable product that has served me well for the past few years.

To me, the additional features that come with 3.1 are just an added benefit to a great piece of software.

When I first started in the Hosting Market I used Clientexec. I was never a huge fan of the order page/client area but have grown to love it. I do agree with some of the facts you stated but I'm happy to see they are offering such a great product at an affordable price.

CE was our first client management solution. Other than the ordering form, there isn't anything else that is customizable. Over that it lacks so many features.

It runs extremely slow. Bloated is all I can say.

Pour in a little more and go with WHMCS. I bet you won't be disappointed :)

I have to agree, i would recommend WHMCS. But I have seen some of the features of the new CE and it is going to be GREAT! The support center is going to be better than WHMCS. I am a WHMCS user just because of the more features, but CE is going to be catching right up very soon. I would also recomend CE over WHMCS just because of the support. Lately, WHMCS has not been top notch on support.

I will have to agree it is slower loading from the admin/client/order panels. You also need to look into the fact that clientexec is more image based then how WHMCS is more table/css based.

CE is far better then accountlab plus and whmap beat both of them :d
