One of my clients has a major problem. He can't bring up his Web Site - BUT - Everyone else around the globe can access the URL no problems.

He has checked with his ISP who report no problems with DNS or any of the set-up for that matter.

I'm after suggestions on what you feel could be the root of the problem taking that it has to do with his PC - I can't think of anything apart from the fact it's got to be his PC causing the problem:confused:

I had that problem with my website when I switched hosts once. I emailed my ISP 3 times, and after the third, where I bitched them out it suddenly started working. I think they must've cached DNS entries or something

I also seem to think it is a cache problem and felt his site was being drawn from his cache instead of from the web. He assured me he had cleared his cache and I have asked him to tell his ISP to clear theres too *wonders if he asked them to do it:rolleyes: *

I actually had a problem of this sort for a while... I purchased a domain name, signed up for hosting... And couldn't get to it. After several days, a friend asked why I hadn't uploaded anything. Turns out that most other people could get there, but my ISP's DNS took forever or something.

I edited /etc/hosts and everything was fine... I commented it out a few weeks later, and things worked fine, so I guess DNS just took an absurdly long time...
