So I asked Sar Hosting if they could provide me with reseller accounts on different IP ranges - they assured me it wouldn't be a problem and that they could set up 5 for me.

After 2 weeks and over 20 emails the accounts were still not working right, and requests to cancel were ignored, so I just cancelled my Paypal subscriptions.

When I asked Sar Hosting for a refund, on the grounds that I had paid for a service they had failed to deliver, I was told that they do not issue refunds on reseller accounts where private nameservers have been used.

I also received an angry phone call from Sar Hosting afterwards, which was damn unpleasant, and which basically amounted to "We have your £50 and there's nothing you can do about it, so tough."

That's my side of the story, anyway - make of that what you will. :)

Was there something that might have provoked the hosting staff to place an angry phone call? That's shocking that a web host would call you up just to taunt you.

If you have been treated like that, I suggest filing a dispute with paypal for service not rendered.

Let us know if you do and how things go.

Out of interest *why* do you need accounts in different IP ranges ?

I currently have hosting accounts with 19 webhosts, most of which are very reliable. However, sometimes when I expand my hosting accounts, things don't always go so well. Now trying out Innohsting and HostNine...
