View Full Version : jtan.com - comments pls?
Hello everyone,
For the last weeks I've been looking for a reliable virtual account with reasonable prices to host a site with large storage needs. jtan.com's recent special offer looks like a good choice for me.
Before getting more into it, I would like to know what people think about them and also experiences, should anyone have any. Would be grateful for any comments you could share: good or bad - considering my positive impression about jtan I hope there will be more pro-s than contra-s :)

Ok, before letting this topic sink totally, I would call for your input, again.
Thanks!
rdx.
Martie 03-08-2001, 02:17 PM Hi,
Im not a user of jtan and hopefully you will get some feedback here.
I do recall the name though, and think theyve been a good asset to the board, as far as helping and answering questions, etc.
You might check to see if there are any customer reviews at hostsearch.com and you could ask them or check on their website to see if they have any client reviews/comments about their service.
There are several boards and you might want to also ask this question at http://www.sitepoint.com
Good Luck!
jtan15 03-08-2001, 04:29 PM rdx,
We haven't had many customers come from WHT yet, so I don't think many people here will have comments.
Although if you are interested, I can give you the e-mail address of a few of our customers who told me that they'd be happy to talk to people like you. :)
akashik 03-08-2001, 05:20 PM Vincent,
It almost pains me when I see a post like the one that started this thread. I haven't used you guys so I couldn't really say anything of worth, and after a while noticed no replies (obviously meaning as you mentioned that your customers come from elsewhere) :)
With the no self promo rule the only way to do it is contacting them yourself with links, though maybe we could have the rules relaxed just enough to let hosts post a quick "I've sent you a list" type message like that one so at least it appears acknowleged by the host in question.
Umm, anyway it's been a long night - I babbling. I'll stop

Hello guys,
Thank you for your replies.
Checking the sites Martie referred to was not helpful, I could not find anything.
I think I'll contact Vincent directly.
All the best,
rdx.
Chicken 03-09-2001, 01:13 PM Martie was hinting at sitepoint's forums, http://www.sitepointforums.com which may have some Jtan customers. Vincent has been here for some time and is one of the many helpful hosts here. I've never used his services either, but based on what he posts, etc., I think you'd be in good hands!
I can offer you this for what it's worth...
Late last year I was ready to sign with them but didn't.
This was nothing to do with any negative aspect of my enquiries. It was because I needed something different than they offered.
I drove the owner Chris mad, poor guy, but I checked and checked on them and I can tell you that if my research (weeks) is worth anything at all, that jtan would be an EXCELLENT choice.
They are seriously smart, honest and helpful guys. I hope to be able to do some business with them in the future, when I'm a little smarter...
