I was a customer of Trexhost for sometime before losing my hosting with them. My data is unaccessible after the shutdown. Risingwebworks offered to assist me in transferring all of my data over to a new server. Its been 2 weeks now and they won't answer my phone calls or emails. They offered a refund which is still yet to be sent to me. I recommend not using either host.

I take it you've looked at the other threads:
re, trexhost, risingwebworks[RWW] and risinghost.net[not risinghost.com who are totaly not associated]

As business representatives of the US hosting industry, they suck.

The manager/owner Brent hides behind his children or asks to be PM'd

The children should not be put in such a position by the grown up Brent.

I think Brent will try to get me banned, because I'm speaking out.
He/they would like to dissapear, by requesting that this thread is closed.

I've offered to shut up, he only has to accept some responability for his actions, but he hasn't got the balls to apologise to you poor guys and accept that he's let people down.

Where they incompetant ? where they schemeing SOBs ? was it just poor management of a difficult situation ? I truely don't know.

But I do know, people have lost both data & money.
And I do know risinghost.net was reg. Feb 2007, [twothousand & seven]
The readers here can draw there own conclussions.

I think your right to draw peoples attention to your plieght, it's the only thing that is left that can be done.

If your post helps only 1 person rethink, thats got to be good.

Brent,

You haven't contacted me, and I've repeatedly asked for a timeframe on when you'll get to my transfer and whether you actually have any of my data.

Your chat techs can't talk about transfers and tell me to submit tickets that aren't answered, except to tell me that I'm posting too many tickets. My data has been down for 2 and half weeks now and I still don't even know if it still exists.

Mike H told me to contact Mike O, through email of trexhost by which I get a respondent message saying it is undeliverable.

Just as a response to what's happened so far - I was the first person to report the Trexhost / RWW incident, and had purchased an account at RWW a long time ago. I presume I was also one of the first to request for support - however, none of my sites have been transfered yet, and unfortunately, it looks like nothing's available.

I'd appreciate it if someone from RWW can help me with this.

I'm still waiting for my websites to be transferred. I have been told they were going to be transferred now I'm being told that they can't access data on NS7.

While there is no excuse for not returning emails and phone calls, migrating data from one server to another isn't as easy as it sounds if you don't have root access, or at least cPanel access to the original host machine.

So don't offer - because under those circs. it sound like stealing.
And what excuse is there for risinghost.net, that was supposedly not even on trex's server.
Sorry for interupting I'm now going back to - LLAMEDOS

Still has not received any replies in email, it just seem that they are not going to do anything. In the outside, they say they will take care of it, but it is all just talk, no action.

I agree, looks like another broken promise to all of us. Shows how reliable they are. Wondering if they treat their new hosting customers this way.

The pathetic attempts RWW people make to put on the facade they really know what they are doing and care astound me. Seriously, read this thread. I posted my entire story. Just stay away from RWW. If you go there you are asking for drama.

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=669721&highlight=rising+web+works

I tried to see if I was the only one having issues with them, and wanted to see if there were any credible positive reviews... no one responded with anything positive.

Seriously, anyone who reads this from RWW. Cut the forum response bs where you offer help to try to save face. Simply... RESPOND TO THE STINKING HELP TICKETS YOUR CUSTOMERS SUBMIT, RESPOND TO VOICEMAILS, AND ACTUALLY BE ON YOUR CHAT SUPPORT. AND... DO IT IN A TIMELY FASHION. I know this may be a novel concept, but when you offer help, and make promises, you might want to DELIVER. You know... without the customer chasing you via multiple communication methods FOR WEEKS at a time.

Just pay attention to what you are doing, and do it well. Your lip service is making you look worse. Things don't leak out to forums if you do your job.

If you pay attention to that, maybe, just maybe someone would have a good word or two about your company.

If you can't deliver, don't over promise and under perform. If you really can not provide the service levels you advertise on your web site, YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO BE DISHONEST. TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS TO EXPECT LONG WAIT TIMES, AND ESTABLISH REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS. You guys seem to be professionals at upsetting customers.
