View Full Version : What do You say about Name.com domains Registrar?
gUrUs 02-09-2008, 05:58 AM What you can tell about Name.com domains Registrar? I have just registered some domains at it and while it is happy with their free services(private whois, google application,...).
I would like to know - whether it is possible to drop the unnecessary domain (in a grace period - 5 days) with return of a payment for registration?
Thanks.
I have not used their service, may be some one here would bring up. Try searching here you should be getting some information related to the company.
My service provider is NameCheap.

That is an irresponsible post by you. First of all, you say that you don't like them, but you personally have never used them.
Gurus.... I am testing them out now. I will update you on my experiences with them. I have in progress a transfer of one of my domains from godaddy to name.

I just started mine today. They did state in my e-mail from them:
Under normal circumstances, a transfer will take six (6) days or less to complete.
I don't know if that is business days or actual days.
I love Name.com. I think they're great.

So I have looked at their site but I can not find any pricing.
How much do they charge for registrations, transfers and renewals?
Is there a link on their site that I am missing?

Thanks Ireland,
I too did a little more looking:
1. http://www.domainsbot.com/rate-registrar.aspx
2. http://www.dnforum.com/f285/name-com-review-registrar-thread-136337.html?t-136337.html=
And it seems to me that here that's all right.

If you do a search for a name, they will tell you the price. It's basically $5.99 for a registration or transfer and $7.99 for renewals on most of the gtld's. They have a special on .biz at the moment of $2.99 for new registrations.
