Thinking of building server for my web sites ... I have a few questions to ask ?

1) What is a good OS for a server ?

2) What type of connection should i have ? ( internet )

3) any special programs should i install ?

This will be my first server, and is there anything i should know ?

Red Hat isn't an OS; it's a Linux distribution. AOL is the internet! :D
