I don't know much about actual computers but anyway i'll be starting something soon that seems to take up lots of CPU so how could i upgrade as they say to get more CPU?.

Chances are if you have anything 700mhz or more you will be all set with just upgrading with some more memory... Memory is cheap again you can get decent namebrand memory for like under 40 bucks for 256mb it's actually worth picking up two if you have the extra $$$..

I have tried to get info but can't seem to get to much info.
It says 256MB total system memory.

I wanna see what your running that needs more CPU power...

Are you talking about a home PC application or a web based application?

Your fine on processor speed. The best thing would be more memory. 256 MB is a minimum. 512 MB would give you a lot of breathing room and more would be even merrier.

I want 512 mb, the prob is i need ddr which is expensive :bawling:

Well when doing live streaming off windows media encoder it seems to take up loads of this stuff and says it's at 100% although it mostly goes to 100% when streaming a screen capture and audio and i prefer to do screen capture with audio.

OK... So your streaming A/V off your computer to the web..

Are you streaming live content (i.e. encoding it, then streaming it) or are you streaming content already on your computer?...

Because if your encoding and streaming that will be a decently proccessor intensive proccess. In that case your lack of RAM could be a contributing factor to that as well because that would cause a decent bottleneck in the encoding proccess...

Other than that, does CPU usage max out on only 1 connection or after how many connections?

I'm using windows media encoder, streaming it right off there LIVE.
When i choose screen capture and audio to stream at the same time CPU goes max and the computer like lags kind of.
It doesn't need anyone to connect as soon as you start encoding it CPU goes up max although with audio only streaming i would say you could get 30 connections on at a time encoding at 6K without the CPU going 100% but i wouldn't think i will ever get a good enough connection to have that many at the same time..

So really i have something input to the computer and just open windows encoder and press start and connect to the port and that's it..

You could try to adjust the options (Never used WMEncoder so not completely sure) to lower the bitrate that your broadcasting at.... Having a lower quality stream would cut down a little on the CPU usage.... Probably..
