Does anyone know why 4webspace won't let us upgrade the hard drive on our RaQ3 or add a second one? 10 is way to small.

because the only way to upgrade a raq hdd is to dump the existing one and replace it with a larger drive and reinstall the cobalt os, now lets look at costs (forget about the fact that the warrantee is toast on that box now)
you have the cost of the new drive(s) who is footing the bill for that? you also have the cost of the labor to do the os reinstall, again who pays for it? you also have the tech support costs from cobalt at 200 an hour if something ever screws up on that server , paid for by?
so the bottom line is your adding 500 to 3000 dollars additional cost over the next three years thats 83.00 a month roughly 99+83 = 182 a month umm why not buy a raq4 with a 20 gig for 199.00?

I dont think you can add a 2nd drive on a raq3 :) and it is not cost effective to upgrade the harddrive either. As what uallan have said you might want to go with a raq4.

Almost every RaQ owner toasts the warrantee by installing mysql, php ....etc.

Thanks

If you even look at that server the wrong way, your warranty is bye bye

If you have had your raq for more then a year your warrantee is gone so its like whats the point?
