This look an awful like perldesk? I know someone on my team helped fixed some bugs and worked with the developers of perldesk and he also is noticing that it is quite similar. Did you guys borrow the code from perldesk or did you just develop it all from scratch? I know you did some serious moding and added some great ideas to it though.

*sidenote* I don't think you ripped it directly and are trying to sell it. The entire interface of how your program works is much different now, it just looks like you started with it and built from there.

I thought the same thing, it looks like many images and at least html tags were taken directly out of PerlDesk. I'm not sure how much code was directly copied because PerlDesk is written in Perl and this in PHP, not that it would be too hard to translate one to the other. I think the largest issue at hand is the fact that this program really is similar to PerlDesk in every way and as far as I can tell it really has no feature to give it edge, so I find it hard to believe that one would dish out $49 for a clone of something that is established and free.

The layout is a bit different but look at a lot of the images, and within the program itself, lots of things taken direct from PerlDesk.

"Taken directly from", that's a bit of a conclusion don't you think?

Post some code.

If someone had told me to log on to it and did not tell me what it was, I would swear it was perl desk.

I'm talking images and the style of links. But definitly the images. I'm not trying to pick an argument but log in to both of the programs and the graphics at very least are very similar if not identical. At very least they used PerlDesk as a "script" and basically rewrote their own copy.

That's still no proof.

I know what you're saying, but you really gotta be sure.

Hi,
Script is written from scratch. But design is mostly copied from Perl Desk. So design is similar but. Engine and features are ours.

How about you just use your own design as well? I mean that blue background and the PDesk CSS code for the links and stuff are clashing...

If almost everything is copied from perldesk then you forget to copy the licence of perldesk.. its free

:D :D :D :D

I was going to stay away from this one but NO you've copied the ENTIRE Perldesk script. I mean everythig you have is the exact same thing. I've been using perldesk since it was first created. Your menu's are the same, features are the same. You're not giving me anything new and for $49? Why pay for a clone when the real script is for FREE.

Think about it! This won't fly at all.

Hello!
To prove you that it's not a PerlDesk clone, i'll create new design and integrate it in my HelpDesk system. And post here new post so everyone will be able to see it and think is it better to buy mine or use PerlDesk

we've started from perldesk features but we had to change our mind. Right now there is only one thing that similar to perl desk - it's design
