a bit more patiance - but we all started from zero, so don't worry :)
First off - you'll need 2 or 3 domains. A dot com a dot net (optional) and a dot AU (local customers)
2 - read a bit more, about virtual and dedicated hosting. Reselling hosting is not hard to figure out - but so many options around.
Don't rush - and Good Luck!

Those business/admin questions would be best answered somewhere like www.business.gov.au, or more specifically at http://www.business.gov.au/BEP/Search/0,1317,a5%253D2%2526a7%253D1%2526a0%253D27%2526a1%253D%2526a2%253D%2526a10%253D1,00.html
For anything you're unsure of, make an appointment with your accountant (or an accountant) and spend a few hours being pushed in the right directions from the start.

I dont know about in AU but I know in the US if you make money you have to pay tax (or at least report it). A lot of people get away without reporting some income but it doesn't matter if you work an under the table job, you should be keeping track of that money and reporting it on your taxes. I emphasize should, doesn't mean that most people do. Also I know in my area if you use your name in your business name you do not have to register it. One way of getting around that:)
Hello :: paVel ::,
Friend, you have to mention whether you're going to have your web hosting business in *REAL* meaning ( Having your company established, your data center, 10-15 employees ) Or what ? To have your bedroom hosting company ?
Honestly, there are lots of people around and called bedroom hosters, how has got their web site up, merchant account up, leased a server from 3rd party, and marketing their business and saying they own a company.
So you have to define which on are you're gonna go for.
PS: Bedroom hostings doesn't need to register your business name and no taxes.
PPS: Have alook at the following URL address. Very very useful for those who wants to start their own web hosting business.

You say you don't need to register or pay taxes? Can you please explain how that is possible? what If I have a 1000 clients at $20, would I be able to not have to register my business and pay taxes?
because the link you displayed said you would have to be incorporated or a sole prop. But they very heavily proposed becoming a corporation(in delaware).
Can you please give an in depth explaination on how to circumvent registering and paying taxes?
