i am trying to uninstall webalizer 1.3 so that i can install the newest version. this is what i have done:

[root uninstallers]# ./Webalizer-1.30.04-1.uninst
after doing the above i got the below responce.
(offline mode: enter name=value pairs on standard input)

afterwards i went back into the Cobalt GUI and i can still see Webalizer in the 'Install Software' listing. what did i do wrong? should i reboot?

When I try the uninstaller I get a permission denied for some reason even as root.

were you able to change the permissions via chmod to try again?

i tried it again and got different but equally unsuccessfull results:

[root uninstallers]# ./Webalizer-1.30.04-1.uninst
error: package webalizer-1.30.04-1 is not installed
(offline mode: enter name=value pairs on standard input)
rm: cannot remove `/etc/cron.daily/webalizer.pl': No such file or directory
[root uninstallers]# cd /etc/cron.daily/
[root cron.daily]# ls
logrotate makewhatis.cron slocate.cron tmpwatch
[root cron.daily]#
