How can I find ou more about potential hosts?

I've reviewed their sites, read their forums where possible and of course looked here. But howdo I find out how long they have been going, and what their performance is really like?

I suggest for you to list some names, and some people who use/used that host can comment on it.

I was thinking of any sites that measure the uptime and speed of various sites.

I'm after opinons on Internet 8000 (www.i8k.net). I've searched for them, read the posts. I've asked questions etc, but I'd just like to know more...

Um, is that link correct? If so, I would recommend you keep looking. Try www.samspade.org to see where your potential hosts servers are located, whether they are a reseller, etc. :D
