I am looking for a very basic no frills reseller Linux hosting package, no databases, no scripting enabled for most accounts.
I will be giving this as a free addon
Any recommendations?

Thanks

Hostgator seems very popular

Indeed. HostGator or WebHostingBuzz are two good choices for this.

Do you guys have experience with the companies you've recommended? Please share some domains to substantiate your claims.

Even a very basic reseller account would contain features like databases, scripts etc. It is very unlikely you'd find a provider which sells a "very basic" reseller account. Sort of defeats the purpose.

I have hostgator hosting, it is really good. It's always up, great support, and very friendly support people too. And there's always someone online to help out, tickets are responded to within hours.

Find yourself a quality host and then just configure your packages to suit your needs. You'll have to work with the host on how to limit scripts but then most resellers don't give you root anyway.

I recommend Hostdime or Surpasshosting.

Thanks for all the replies. I have seen the Hostgator package, but you have to purchase IPs separately. I have seen some companies offering very basic hosting, do they all have their own servers with root access?

well its up to them really dnki,

some hosts just re-sell from other hosts.

You'd have to specifically ask the host if they own and operate their own equipment ..

What sort of monthly hosting budget are you looking to stay under?

$15/month, there are a few plans available with WHM, but want to know if any thing else is available
