From brew time to when you can drink is around 2 months I'd say for it to taste half way decent. I have enough equipment to do 10 gallons at a time :D I don't drink much beer at home so its plenty quick for me. Studio64 08-13-2002, 12:03 AM I used to... Back in high school when I couldn't buy my own me and my friend went out and bought a brewing kit.. Now... we weren't going after a prize winning brew... Essentially we were winging it and luckily ending up with almost decent acohol. We pretty much gave up after making a brew with an acohol content of about 23%..... Needless to say it was completely disgusting and was so carbonated when you uncapped the bottle the cap would shoot about 50 feet. We found if we took a few good shots of our "beer" it would be fairly tolerable.... webarama 08-13-2002, 12:04 AM I only drink Jack Daniels - and you can't brew that :bawling: WoodShedd 08-13-2002, 12:21 AM we tried starting a brewmasters club at our college. It didnt go over well with the administration (they didnt give us any money) and we found that being without a bathtub for weeks at a time did little for our hygiene. (the showers at the pool cost $2 to use. a ripoff, IMO; who wants to spend $2 so you can have a shower with several other men (usually, old shaggy and fat) it was fun while it lasted anyway. JTY 08-13-2002, 12:27 AM My old man did a lot of brewing. Never used malt extract, straight from grain. IGobyTerry 08-13-2002, 01:26 AM I've tried it. I always end up with bitter beer. Worst than budweiser, which is quite amazing. Chicken 08-13-2002, 01:36 AM Yeah, my buddy brewed up some. He thought it was great. To me it tasted like what goat piss would most likely taste like, if one ever tasted goat piss. I'll stick with my Guinness TYVM. GlideTech 08-13-2002, 01:38 AM :uzi: GUINESS?!?! :disagree:  That is some THICK beer lol. WoodShedd 08-13-2002, 01:40 AM It is thick. I prefer fosters:) GlideTech 08-13-2002, 01:42 AM Bud Light > Busch Light > Corona :agree: After 12 they all taste the same anyway :D viGeek 08-13-2002, 04:14 AM I was given one of those home brew machines on my 21st birthday, It never tasted good at all, so its been collecting dust for 3 years. redjackryan 08-13-2002, 08:47 AM If anyone needs a Taster, I'm availible !! sadistikal 08-13-2002, 09:30 AM Guiness, That is some THICK beer lol. Personally I find all stouts to be pretty watery. Especially Guiness. I've heard people say that its a "liquid lunch" bah. Too watery for me. I prefer a very dark porter or a nice hoppy IPA...something with taste :D jeellison 08-13-2002, 09:39 AM Thats all to weak for me, I like the strong stuff - Kaliber :D sadistikal 08-13-2002, 11:41 AM I've never had Kaliber where can I find it? I'd like to try some. Studio64 08-13-2002, 12:20 PM Originally posted by GlideTech That is some THICK beer lol. Steak in a can boys.......
