What happens when a seller does not send out a product that was paid for? I bought a game from an auction that ended on August 3rd. Did not receive an e-mail from the seller until August 5th, and that was prompted by me sending her an e-mail, which is no big deal. I told her I'd send payment the following day (Tuesday, August 6th) but was unable to and sent out payment on the 7th. She only accepted money order or check, usually I pay by Paypal. It has not even been a week, but she's e-mailing me telling me she has not received payment, and now I'm really getting the feeling that she is not going to send the game, is going to run off with my $30, and is going to leave me negative feedback :bawling: (and I was doing so well with my 51 positives/no negatives). If she doesn't send the game, what can I do? I have no proof that I sent a money order, the only thing I have is the fact that 99% of the time, with all other auctions, I paid same day, usually within a few minutes of auction close with Paypal. Since I've only had one other problem with something on Ebay (Nirvana Nevermind cd I bought was suppose to have hidden track, but didn't), I really don't know what I can do :confused:

OK you sent payment via a personal check or money order so either:

1) You can get a copy of the cancelled check
or
2) have a receipt for the money order which should be able to be tracked back to who received cash for it

You should have proof that your money was spent. Am I missing anything that would make this untrue? You can always go to ebay and filie a complaint but since its only been a week I'd wait and see how thingns play out before getting too worried.

Thanks. I know I shouldn't be worrying, but I dunno. I didn't really like her from the start, seemed like she didn't know what she was doing anyway. Just looking for what I can do if it DOES happen. Really annoying, spent $30 on a game that I could have bought in stores for $50, I should have just not been cheap, now if she doesn't send the game I'll be out a total of $80 when I go buy the game new.

Edit: Oh yes, I thought I had the slip from the money order, I KNOW it was not thrown away unless my retarded fiancé threw it out, just that I can't fscking find it.

How does she know where I'm coming from if she did not receive my money order with my return address in it? I never gave it to her in an e-mail, and if she were to get the contact information from Ebay, I would have received a notice from them containing HER contact information. I'm bringing this up because, in her e-mail to me this afternoon, she said, "Is there a problem, or is the US Mail from west to east really, really, really slow?" Can't check my IP from the mail source and trace it, she uses AOL. There isn't really any way for her to know I'm coming from the west coast, unless she's just making a guess.

What's her ebay nick? I can do some research.

No, I do not have her phone number. I can get all contact information (phone number included) from Ebay, but when I do, it sends her a notice and I don't want to do that just yet, since it has not been long since the auction ended.

Yep I saw that before I even placed my bid, but hell, I've been using Ebay for 4 years and I don't mind taking small chances with people, one negative against 6 positives, I didn't think there would be a problem :( No one would get anywhere if people didn't take a chance with them, guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Worse thing I ever saw on Ebay, some guy I was going to bid on one of his auctions - he sold a video card for $350, it was DOA (said to be working) and no manufacturer warranty (did not specify this in auction) and he would not give the guy a refund no matter what. I mean, whether you are very specific with things like that or not, doesn't show you as a very great person morally if are going to pull that ****.

haha yes, I bought some toddler Vans shoes for my son about a week ago, brand new in box with tags, and everytime I go to my mom's house she mentions that the person I bought them from on Ebay must be a shop lifter, since I only paid like $15 for them and they cost more like $40+ in stores.

No sweat, I mean as long as you are being honest you can't avoid the scum and unethical people trying to negate you on purpose or because they are cluless. Sometimes it's circumstantial. But as a seller, I always leave feedback on ebay. Some people don't even bother to return the gesture.

Hu Hu Hu. Well like when i buy things online i expect to press "process order" and that will be the last word and it will come to my house no probs so well that's another reason why i wouldn't buy anything off Ebay since i would expect you have to contact the seller and so on.
I remember at school this boy used to steal these galaxy ripples you know that choclate and we all got a 4 pack for half price off him

Well not really, when a seller uses Paypal or prefers Paypal, they can have it set up where a notice is automatically sent out with shipping + auction payment information, it's great, because I can pay immediately, right then and there and not have to go through sending out payment through the mail. Most of the time I look for auctions where Paypal is accepted, but this one was ending right then and was still for pretty cheap, so I went for it like a moron. It's an excellent way to get things for cheap, just as long as a transaction goes well and the way it should go.
