I am a webdesigner and provide hosting services to my clients on an Ensim-based shared reseller plan with UnitedHosting. Whilst I can't say enough nice things about my hosting provider, for my own peace of mind I'd like to implement a more solid backup plan than I currently have!
At the moment I keep offline copies of all my clients sites, and am using server-based scripts to transfer MySQL backups every few hours.
What I am most concerned about is the possibillity of having to put all of this data on a new server in an emergency. My clientbase has increased significantly in the last year, and thus it would take an age to manually recreate accounts, upload site files and restore databases.
Should I be looking to find a secondary hosting supplier with very similar features and be using Ensim's built-in backup facility? If so, does anyone have any recommendations?
I would be interested to hear what other shared hosting resellers out there do.
