A confidential informant says Google will stop monetizing all domains if they are less then five days old. This potential new policy change by Google could stop all Domain Tasting in its tracks.
What is your say?

Google is NOT going to KILL domain tasting, they just decide NOT to monetize on it THEMSELVES; domain tasters could simply use OTHER monetization partners.
We're not going to do away with domain tasting, just like we're not going to do away with drug trafficking, prostitution and gambling.

Few domain tasters use Adsense because ads are contextual and the sites have no content - just advertising links. Google's decision will have little impact on tasting. According to the article one taster makes $3 million month from Adsense - bet he'd be p*ssed if Google canceled his account just before the payment date.
IMO, it's a right move in the right direction, regardless of impact.

Google always makes a move in the right direction... Also, irrespective of how much it helps, importantly they have take a step...
Whats more, ICANN is not refunding the 20 cents fee for Domains... This should surely put Domain Tasters at bay...

They dont have the option to anyway, as ICANN no longer allow registrars to get refunds on registrations, so "tasting" as was is over. An announcement that Google wont be monetising something which doesn't exist is simply media spin :D

I read about the new Icann rules yesterday, should make the industry interesting too see what effect it has on the market over the next few weeks/months.

I think if google cancels his account without prior payment, that would let google in legal problems.
