Hi,

My name is Aaron and I am a new member to the Web Hosting Talk community. I have been a frequent reader of these boards for the past two years, and none of my web hosting decisions have been made without consulting reviews and opinions of hosts from here.

I came here looking for a new co-location provider for my 4 servers. They are all totally different from each other, and my situation is very weird. I saw an offer from Tom in the Dedicated Hosting Special Offers forum, and decided to contact him for the heck of it.

I am glad I did.

I have NEVER used or even heard of a better host. From everything he has done for me, just within the past month, and for such a great price... it's unimaginable.

What has he gone out of his way to do for me?

Well, he has given me an extra U of space for free, because I have 3 1U boxes and 1 4U box. Two of my servers are Windows 2000 Server servers and need to be networked together. Tom set me up with my own private switch and has done this for me so I would not be charged for local bandwidth for no charge.

Also, when I first shipped my servers, one of them, a brand new one, was totally wrecked by UPS. I spent $100 on next day air, I was confused, I didn't even take insurance and Tom had his techs look at it for 5-6 hours trying to fix it. He gave me options of having him setup a temporary dedicated server for me, and he was very supportive of everything and he fully understood how I felt.

I have a partner, and we kind of split the hosting bill... it's hard to explain to, but Tom figured it out fairly and even though we are hosted as one, we get two seperate bills which some hosts here refused to do.

Tom is on my ICQ and MSN list. I have his phone number, pager, contacts to other techs, and who knows what else. He gives me stats, and is even around for a friendly conversation or advice on something totally opposite of web hosting.

As for the hosting service/quality... what more could you ask for? I get 8 hops to my web servers now compared to 13 or even 20 like my old one. I can download and upload at my hard drive's maximum... about 4-5 MB/sec. I have not had a downtime yet.

I'm not even going to go on about the other things that he has ALREADY done for me within the short time I have been hosted with him.

I guess I am really amazed. This is too good to be true, but it's true.

ping neonteen.com
traceroute neonteen.com

Thanks everyone.

p.s. I don't/most likely get anything from this forum post besides a thanks from Tom on ICQ... but that is all I want. People like this deserve to be recognized. If you have any other questions about how my hosting has been with them or if you just want to chat with me, ICQ me. ;-)

Have a good one!

edit: I also had to add one thing I just thought of... even though I am co-located with him, and it's supposed to be my job to manage my own server, he has, on a lot of occasions I am ashamed to say (LOL) helped me with my server problems. (Plus I wanted to see if my new signature worked.)

I must say, they are an excellent host (my site is hosted with them) and their upcoming design is excellent (I designed it ;) ), but Tom has been a bit hard to come by lately...he has been online, but I can't seem to get ahold of him! Must be hard setting up a company of that calibur...but I agree, he is a great guy, and is always ready to talk if he is not extremely busy.

Thanks Fabrikated!

I'll hook up with you soon, I've just been away from my desk when you ping me, and when I get back, your gone.

But we won't go there now will we?

Tom
