Hy,

Just received my RaQ550,
and I must say, It's more than a perfect server :)

I wanted to update him,
but I can't find any updates from sun...
The RaQ550 isn't in the list of update packages product selection

Another question:
Is there a version of WEBALIZER available for the RaQ550?
If not, what do you use on RaQ550 to monitor traffic/provide stats?

You could probably use Awstats...

May I know how much did you pay for it and where/whom you've got it from?
I'm kinda interested in one of these RaQ550.

Thanks.

If I get a chance I'll throw it on to a server this week for testing. I'm sick of Webalizer.. so other options need to be explored

Why are Cobalt RaQs so d*mn expensive? $1400 for 450Mhz 64MBRAM 1x20GB hard drive seems extremely silly to me.

Probably part of the overall Sun strategy. They aren't particularly interested in dealing with the 'lower' end of the market.
Their 'standard' (ie. non-RAQ) servers are considered to be among the best, but not aimed at SMEs etc.,
Over the last few months they seem to have all but obliterated the original look and feel of their purchases (eg. Chillisoft, Cobalt networks etc.,) and re-branded them with the Sun look.
Strangely enough they still spend a lot on advertising RAQs in Europe, but for how much longer?
