I'm starting up my own little place on the web, and I'm going to be creating/maintaining two FAQs. But I'm having trouble finding the right solution.

I used PBWiki to set up one of them, but when it comes to finding the right software to install and maintain while also taking care of the FAQs themselves and a little blog I do I find myself lost. A wiki would make the FAQ care and feeding easy, but the wiki software itself seems more complicated than what I'm willing to put into it.

The software will be in a shared hosted environment (Medialayer to be exact) so anything that works with the usual Apache/MySQL/PHP will play nice with the host provider and my experience with all of those. Something that doesn't look like a throwback to the early days of the web (Eg: faqomatic) would be a big plus. :)

If anyone has ideas on some simple software to house and maintain a FAQ I'm all ears. Even general pointers at various software to try would be ok. I'm looking for any pointers/ideas/etc before I settle.

I've been using WordPress with the FAQ-Tastic (http://knowledgeconstructs.com/wordpress-plugins/faq-tastic/) plugin on some clients' websites and it works great.

That's a neat plugin, and would work for a simple FAQ. Mines a bit more complicated. They're FAQs for specific motorcycle models, and they're several levels deep.

WHT uses MediaWiki for their FAQ. How much work is it to secure and maintain MediaWiki?

I've played around with MediaWiki before. It's pretty simple

bluedreamer: thanks for the links. I'll look into those products

Looie: The number of options under Mediawiki are a bit daunting for someone who has never managed a Wiki on his own. Do you know of any HowTos or similar documents out there for managing Mediawiki?
