Hi,

I am wondering if there are any ex wholesalecolo customers around here who got promised the heaven on earth from other providers about taking over the the wholesalecolo business (providing colo and bandwidth) but are left without any facts about what's going on with their servers in the LayerOne facility in Miami and/or need to move their server(s) quickly. Please PM me ASAP! Thanks.

(PS: It's in your own interest to PM me).

If this is true, wouldn't we be hearing from a billion people that are on these boards that have/had servers there?

I also don't think that this is true! Imagine the trouble (somebody would have to die!) ! I can speak for myself. Nobody has touched our servers. Wholesalecolo took the servers off your customer but we heard nothing about it?

My suggestion would be to give a call to LayerOne and ask for Alexander Muse (he is the CEO) for answers if you cannot get a hold of wholesalecolo.com. I also have his email address if you want to PM for it.

I'm going to be with NetFree, the folks who announced they were taking over WholesaleColo's business.

The WholesaleColo ordeal is kinda like the end of a party. Everybody's asking around to find their own ride home.

I don't know the whole story on everything that is going on, but I do know that NetFree was a customer of theirs, and was confirmed by talking to LayerOne in Miami. Initial intentions were for NetFree to move into a cage at LayerOne, but they have since worked a lease with Miami Data Vault. All of their servers are now going in MDV. Looking at MDV, the facility appears to be far better setup for server collocation than LayerOne.

My server is enroute to their corporate office, and the contract should be signed tomorrow. Their pricing remains the same as WholesaleColo, and they are offering an Epik backup to Cogent.

We'll see how the story goes.

Brian

You may want to call LayerOne in Miami again.
Ask for Scott.

This all changed on Friday.

If any of WholesaleColo's clients would like to stay at Layer One in Miami, you can contact us, and we can work with you and Layer One.

We are in good standing with them, and are a current client of LayerOne.

<edit>

microsol, what company is yours, I don't see anything listed on the customer list as microsol?

I would love to, but due to legal reasons, it is best if you contact Layer One in Miami, FL directly.
