Well, for the last 2 days we've been seeing some issues with Directi's ( ResellerClub) DNS service.
Some sites using their Managed DNS service stop responding and when checking from tools like dnsstuff.com there are some errors in there showing up, and finally:
ERROR: None of your nameservers returned your SOA record. They are likely all down or unreachable.
---
Yesterday night I was trying to set new A records for one domain, from the Managed DNS interface, and their interface was really slow, to the point it returned this error several times:
Error Message: Query Timed Out
---
Of course I already reported them these issues, but I haven't received any official/proper reply as of yet.
Is anyone else having similar issues?
About 18 months ago their dns servers were down for a whole week without a peep out of them. It was after that I decided not to use them anymore.

Thanks for your comment.
I'm about to do the same and go back to eNom and Tucows for this.
They have just replied and confirmed it:

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
I would like to inform you that currently we are facing a few issues with our servers. Hence, our name servers are not responding at all times to the DNS queries.
However, this issue is being looked upon by our Development Team at high priority. You will be informed regarding the same as soon as it has been resolved.
In the meantime, I request your patience and co-operation.

Yes, patience and cooperation... like if DNS was not a *critical* service...
Yep. It's ultra-critical :(
I'm about to do the same and go back to eNom and Tucows for this.
You may want to consider one of the dedicated dns providers. As it is a critical service it may be worth to go with a company which offers this as there many business and not just a sub-service...
Mikey this way!

Whole week?
That's really bad. What was the reason for such a long downtime?
I don't recall if they ever gave a satisfactory explanation. I just recall being so pissed-off that I moved all my domains out to eNom. OK. I still have a handful off odd-ball domains there, but they're not critical and will be moved out when it's time to renew. I remember thinking at the time that if this could happen then, then there is a likelihood of it happening again in the future. Seems I was right with that hunch.

like if DNS was not a *critical* service...
Actually, it is THE critical service, since without it you have nothing else unless you are using the ip address itself.
I wonder what the development team has to do with the problems. If it was running one day and not the next, it would not require anything from the development perspective unless they tried to introduce some new software.
