From the looks of it you've got packet loss before you even get out of your house... you mentioned in another thread that you were having router problems with your linksys router... have you flashed the firmware yet?

But aside from the packetloss just looks like where your local charter dumps you to the i-net is clogged. Granted I've had issues like that before with charter, they were fixed within 2 weeks when a new pipe came online...

also if my isp is so overcrowded like it is could it be cause enough to kick me off at random intervals for no reason?

like my cable will get SO SLOW and then boom the cable lights start to reset and try to reconnect.

it does this anywhere from a couple to 30 times a day.

haha good thing back button dont erase this my cable did it while i hit submit :(

*ahem* upgrade to DSL.

It's possible that the Headend, is overloaded, and when more people turn on their modems, people could get kicked off.

We have Charter Cable here, and they stink big time. I would not use them for cable TV or Internet. They were in the front page of the newspaper, the biggest problem our city council has to deal with is complaints about Charter Cable. The cable goes down all the time and it takes days sometimes to get it back up. The city council offered to let any company come in with cable. I swithed to Satellite for TV and I use DSL for Internet, better service for less money.

A few years ago I had the "pleasure" of Charter cable modem. Was OK during the day....but between 5 and 7 pm came to a screeching halt....I'll stick to DSL, thank you.

I will no longer have anything to do with Charter. In St. Louis, they are raising prices (AGAIN!) on their cable packages, and on their pipeline. I am currently helping many friends and family switch over to dsl and satelite.

They must be crazy to raise basic cable to $45+ per month, and expect to keep all of their customers.

Wow... for the most part i've had a plesant experience with Charter.... downloads of 1mbps+ , excellent prices (29.95 a month but then again I was a beta tester so they never throttled my package) and as you can see from the ping times... excellent speed... I only experienced slowdowns for 2 weeks about a year ago... it was fine after they brought the T3 in...

haha I can only wish the phone company is laying some sort of fiber up the road hopefully dsl but they have been doing that for 2 months and all I have seen them do is drill under the road 1 time to put a pipe or wire under the road.

then its came to an end there is a huge roll of wire setting off the side of the road where they were working though

so hopefully soon :)

oh yea and you guys think your pricing is high.

i pay 50$ a month for 512k service and every afternoon from 5pm on i get kicked off and speeds are at 2KB/s or less and super slow ping times.
