RackFive 08-11-2002, 03:26 PM good templates :)
Samuel 08-11-2002, 03:32 PM Are they PHP templates, dreamweaver templates, databased?
The layouts are nice, but what "Kind" of templates are they?
jmango 08-11-2002, 03:39 PM theyre just an image of how the template will look when converted to html....Just images and text. :)
Samuel 08-11-2002, 03:43 PM Hrmm, "Converted to HTML", so these aren't templated.
Just needed clarification as I am looking for templates, not web pages.
This is a one page site then, what would the other pages look like?
jmango 08-11-2002, 03:47 PM This is just the main page.....I will also make a section template for the buyer so they can input their content
Samuel 08-11-2002, 03:49 PM All right, so you're not going to say what type of template, good luck, you haven't shown any templates, you've shown some pictures. And from a bunch of other posts its the same thing, pictures, no templates, nothing really done but multiple layers in photoshop.
Ill continue my search for a template designer.

jmango 08-11-2002, 03:53 PM template 3 is the only one thats being resold. But the url you just sent is blocked out....can you tell me what the url is through PM's? maybe its someone who isnt authorized to sell it is selling it...
jmango 08-11-2002, 03:54 PM wait nevermind, i got it......yeah thats fine, theyre allowed to resell that template
pcsteve 08-11-2002, 03:57 PM Ok..it's all good :)
Website Rob 08-11-2002, 04:32 PM Samuel, you seem to be mis-understanding on purpose, what "Templates" actually means.
No designer in their right mind would put up something they designed, included all the HTML / PHP / ASP or whatever code. Putting up the image allows one to "see" what it looks like and, if interested, can work out the coding techniques with the designer.
Surely this is not news to you?
Insteading of posting: Are they PHP templates, dreamweaver templates, databased?
Why not post: Can they be made into PHP, dreamweaver, databased templates?
Samuel 08-11-2002, 04:35 PM Im not customizing my thoughts or posts for your idea of what a template is, thank you.
Website Rob 08-11-2002, 04:47 PM And that's OK.
Unfortunately, you are trying to get others to customize "their" thoughts to "your" definition of what a Template is. Won't happen -- and that's OK too.
BTW, nice Templates, evil jman. If I hadn't recently purchased a Template from another Designer I would have a serious look at yours. Knowing the Template I purchased would not be resold to anyone else, was one of the deciding factors I used, for purchasing.
Not sure how others feel, but without that kind of guarentee, I find it hard to pay decent money for any Template.
Samuel 08-11-2002, 04:53 PM No, I disagree with you, but my intention is to not take this thread off topic anymore with you so please contact me off board.

I've heard ***************.com makes all of their own templates. Did I heard wrong?
jmango 08-11-2002, 05:11 PM I work with them....as you can see.....the author of that template is "jman"
Denny 08-11-2002, 05:13 PM A template is "A document or file having a preset format, used as a starting point for a particular application so that the format does not have to be recreated each time it is used... -Dictionary.com"
The term "layout" is usually used for prints rather than web designs.
A design is just the design not converted to anything. Ex. Photoshop *.PSD files
So what do you call a resellable template?
There are no specific terms for it so I would suggust calling it a "resellable template".
One can call it whatever they want it to be, however, when talking with others it is best to use the correct term. I hope everyone understands.
Back to topic; those are really nice templates jman.
on question #1 in the FAQ page at template monster it says
"1. What I am allowed and not allowed to do with the templates?...Resell or redistribute templates..."
But if you are the author, I am sure you can resell the template.
[edit] Jman just said that he's the author so everything's fine about the template3.
Spectacular 08-11-2002, 06:19 PM Yes nice work jman.
Matlok 08-12-2002, 11:13 AM Indeed nice work :)
Do these templates come with a subpage? If the do can you send me a pm with the price for template 7.
Thanks,
