"Other Hosting Related Requests
Forum for making requests directly related to the hosting industry that don't fit in the above or below categories. Please read the Announcement within before posting. You need 10 posts in other forums and 7 days of membership before starting a thread in this forum."

Dude, I need a host, today!

"Count Monaco Fan, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
3. If you believe this message is issued in error, please contact us at I CANNOT POST LINKS BECAUSE I AM A STUPID N00B DOT COM.

Oh, so I can't hire a webdesigner either? I guess nobody wants my money.

You need five posts before being able to use any of this board's vB code features. Including smilies and linking to URLs.

(I can't even post this thread.)

What sort of host are you looking for?

Hello Count Monaco Fan
Dude, I need a host, today! The best thing to do is to open a thread asking for recommendations. Hosts are not allowed to promote themselves directly to you, but customers are certainly allowed to give their honest appraisals of their current and former hosts. Start a thread that details your needs and requests such recommendations will probably help you the most.

You're free to view members offering design services within the advertising forums and contact them directly. No post count is needed to do this :)

Hosting Requests

Threads requesting hosting are not appropriate in any Forum Category.

If you are looking for hosting, please see the current offers in the 'Web Hosting Offers' Forums; as well as checking the 'Find a Host' links at the top right that are relevant to the type of hosting you are seeking.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping the Community clean.

Oh, so I can't hire a webdesigner either? I guess nobody wants my money.

Did you try and post in the design offers section? Or the design requests section? The design requests section doesn't require a minimum of 7 posts (which is where a thread looking to hire a designer should be).

(I can't even post this thread.)

Looks like you posted the thread just fine :)

Now in regards to the 7 days membership and 10 post restriction you must remember that WHT is a community. As a community we want to encourage... being a community :) We offer advertising forums and ask very little in return for letting members use them.

As large and popular as WHT is it's hard to imagine how you couldn't put together 10 constructive posts and hang around for 7 days.

The reason links are prevented is to help stop spammers that like to sign up to plaster the forum with links to their site. Only 5 posts are required to be able to PM, use links, etc... which is hardly asking anything at all.

I don't know, man. I lost my mind for a minute. This site's protocol is stressful. Just consider what I've said.

I just tried to post in the request forum (142) and it wouldn't let me.

We don't have a hosting request forum. Requests are not permitted in any forum category.

Edit: I see you have an ad posted a few hours ago at FWS.
