Which websites offer the best dedicated servers?
Like cheap, with good features....but not so cheap that they suck!
In terms of bandwidth, service, uptime, space and all that. I am opening a web host soon on reseller, but I would like to get a few dedicated in mind as well - for later.

Use the handy feature called "Search". Read the reviews, but in the end, you'll have to choose a company you like and then try them for yourself.

All I can say is that you have to be *very* thorough when it comes to selecting a provider for your business. Use plenty (and I mean plenty) of time to read reviews, talking to people, research etc. to make sure that what you get is top notch. And don't fall into the trap of picking the cheapest provider. Clearly, you have to chose something that fits your budget, but it will get very expensive very soon to use a provider that gives you poor service.

Good luck! :)

Yeh I know all that. Does anyone recommend their provider?

I am currently hosted at a place called fastcolo.net. I have had no problems with them. They offer quality servers, although their pricing is a little risky.

I might email TomK about Defender Hosting. I'm not sure if he does dedicated servers, but I'm currently co-located with him and he is a great host. (If not perfect.)

I always try to read as many reviews of a company and then start a topic of my own to find the most current thoughts of that company, including any employee feedback. It's also best to talk to the company you're interested in via email and phone.

I would recommend webreseller.net. You get a server that is tested before deployment to you, a fast Yipes! connection, and personalized service with their helpdesk. Their servers are also semi-managed.

My customers are happy with their fast websites and servers that I have purchased for them.

Other places I could recommend:

rackshack.net - int/adv users, low price
hostmania.com - quality bandwidth, low price
eservers.biz - quality bandwidth, good price, support
prioritycolocation.com - honest people, good prices

I'm hosted with rackshack. The other 3 are places I would recommend based on what I've read and are future places for my webhosting company.

Hope this helps you out :)

Site5.com - Do a search on this board you will know why. Remember the good old "you get what you pay for".
Although they are not as cheap as others, its really worth the extra.

Do a search about them, all will become clear :)

They have a slow support but I have no problem with the DS.

Out of interest. When people recommend a host could they say how long they have been with them?
As IMHO a host's quality is seen when something goes wrong, and that *shouldn't* happen very oftern.
