View Full Version : WHM - change IP address issues...

We get requests from folks that want to change their name based domains over to IP based accounts. Our clients pay for batches of IPs, so this is no problem. Where the problem lies is with using the "Change Site's Ip Address" function in the server's WHM. This works ok but the domain no longer resolves to the domain name. It instead brings up the apache page.

Changing the IP in the DNS Zone for that domain doesn't seem to help either. How are you folks who use WHM/Cpanel change a name based domain to an IP based domain?

Thanks for any help. :)

Haven't had any issue with it I have only done it about 3 times but it worked good each time.

Might ask over at http://forums.cpanel.net

Thanks Monte. Just done that. Also hoping to get some insight here too. :)

Check httpd.conf to see if the appropriate changes were made.

Update - everything worked fine. Just edited the DNS Zones for each domain and all is good. The WHM "Change Site's Ip Address" is good to go. :)
